These are all functions that the WiFi IR Blaster is ideal for. The SparkFun WiFi IR Blaster is designed to attach all of these outdated, legacy IR-controlled units to a WiFi community exposing them to a brand new methodology of management with the Web of Issues.

The WiFi IR Blaster combines an ESP8266 – a robust WiFi/microcontroller SoC – with IR emitters and receivers. With built-in WiFi help, the ESP8266 may be programmed to offer an interface between HTTP, MQTT, TCP, and infrared-controlled units. This module equips the ESP8266 with a crystal, 4MB flash, and a PCB antenna – nearly the whole lot it must get going.
